I've been sitting on some pretty exciting news and I think it's time to introduce everyone to my daughter Aster Elisabeth Yun...
My husband and I started the process of adopting a child from China back in the fall of 2005. We had no idea at that time it would be almost 5 years before we would meet our beautiful little girl, but in a month from tomorrow we will be boarding a plane to meet her and bring her home.
Aster was born in Hubei province in central China, and is just over 9 months old right now. We will be spending a week with her in Hubei and then another week in Beijing before we make the journey home.
Somethings in life are worth waiting for.

She is so so beautiful. She's a lucky little girl to be given such lovely parents - I'm so happy for your entire family and the happiness she will bring.
I'll be home in either late august or late October - hopefully we can schedule a playdate if you're not too busy settling in!
